Dunn was suspended by Baylor coach Scott Drew on Tuesday (5th October, 2010) after he surrendered to police to face a provoked attack charge accusing him of breaking his girlfriend’s jaw during an argument on September 27. 23 year old, Dunn was notified of the charge Tuesday. During the afternoon, he turned himself and was booked into the McLennan County Jail. Dunn was expected to be released a few hours later after posting a $12,500 bond.
According to Drew's statement to the media of Tuesday “LaceDarius Dunn has been indefinitely suspended from all team activities. The university is working to gather all of the facts surrounding this incident and is fully cooperating with investigating authorities. Baylor will have no further comment on the matter until more information is available.”
