Oscar wining actress Kate Winslet and her second husband Sam Mendes have split, according to their lawyers Keith Schilling. It is true, Kat Winslet said she was split from her husband this year but there is not clear yet if their divorce process has started. They released a statement saying that the divorce was "entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement." The(Power) couple was fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children.

The couple told to the media, no further comment would be made, and calls and e-mails seeking comment from the law firm. Last month she said about her marriage, "I haven’t had to stop my marriage from being stale. I think the secret is just really loving the person you’re with. It’s also about never hiding anything, sharing everything and talking about everything." This is bad news that, the couple has split after nearly seven years of marriage.
Kate Winslet and her film maker Husband Sam Mendes married in 2003 on the Caribbean island of Antigua and they have a son named, Joe and also a daughter Mia Honey from former husband Jim Threapleton. She married with Jim Threapleton in 1998 and divorced in 2001.
The 44 year old Sam Mendes is the second husband of Kat, he is artistic director to won an Oscar award for his hit movie “American Beauty” in 2000 and also won Golden Glob Award for the Best Director for his film. The couple met in 2001 in Donmar Warehouse Theater. He was directed “Revolutionary Road” movie with stared his wife Kat in a lead role in 2008.
