Www.open.uwi.edu is the official site of the UWI Open Campus. On this site UWI gives open campus login service for students, where they can get detail about university, university course, exams timetable, admission detailed etc. For the login process, you must require username and password, which is gotten from UWI. Recently UWI Open campus is inviting applications for admission to regional undergraduate degrees, associate degrees, diplomas and certificates for January 2010.

UWI is one of the largest and most recognized higher education provider serving over 20 countries in the English-speaking Caribbean: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, and Turks and Caicos. The university includes three major campuses at Mona in Jamaica, St. Augustine in Trinidad and Tobago, Cave Hill in Barbados. Recently UWI began open campus with multi-option and multi-mode online campus with over 40 physical site locations across its 20 regions. It is an International university with faculty and students from over 40 countries. UWI offers undergraduate and postgraduate degree options in Engineering, Humanities & Education, Law, Medical Sciences, Pure & Applied Sciences, Science and Agriculture, and Social Sciences through its seven Faculties. The mission of the university is to help "unlock the potential for economic and cultural growth" in the West Indies.

The latest campus of the West Indies University was officially launched in Antigua & Barbuda in June 2008. The UWI Open campus is mixture of three former departments of the the UWI - the Office of the Board for Non-Campus Countries & Distance Education (BNNCDE), the School of Continuing Studies (SCS), the UWI Distance Education Centre (UWIDEC), and the Tertiary Level Institutions Unit (TLIU).

The UWI Open Campus offers an open and flexible learning environment for pre-university, undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education study programs and other services both online and in blended format.

The UWI Open campus works with faculty on the three campuses, as well as with other tertiary institutions and development agencies throughout the Caribbean to design, develop and deliver quality programs to meet the learning needs of the people of the Caribbean.

The UWI open campus is not open for only students but also for university staff. If you want to get the benefit of the open campus, then you need to login process which is explained below:

Open the www.open.uwi.edu, Click on the My OC option which is stayed on the top the right side corner of the home page. Open this page, enter user Id and passwords and click on login. Students need their UWI ID and password to log in. Staff also needs Staff ID and password to log in.

If you have no user Id and passwords for the login, then contact at the UWI Administrator office and get user Id and passwords.
